X Challenge student entrepreneurship competition

AUT’s X Challenge is a university-wide competition that gives every AUT student the opportunity and guidance to develop an idea for a business, cause or project. The X Challenge will be launched in April and is a way for students to gain a real and meaningful experience in launching and running a new business. There are great cash prizes to help students take their ideas to the next level.

Opportunity for design students

The Textile and Design Lab is inviting AUT students, both past and present, to submit their textile print designs to the lab, which will in turn be offered for sale via a pilot online print design bureau located on the TDL website. ‘Our students produce some amazing work during the course of their studies, which is academically assessed but very seldom commercialised’, says TDL Manager, Peter Heslop. ‘This initiative will give our students a shop window in which to showcase their designs and hopefully earn themselves some valuable income’. Interested students and recent graduates should email tdl@aut.ac.nz to find out how to participate.
